Save Drafts and Reuse Ready Replies™
Drafts give you space to compose before you send. Ready Replies™ let you save short responses you can reuse: they stay in your list after sending.
Text drafts and Ready Replies are available on every plan. Adding photos requires Connect or higher. Coach and Tone Guardian access follows your plan and settings.
Open Drafts
Open Messages and tap the Drafts icon, or open More Tools and choose Drafts under Communication. Ready Replies appear above ordinary drafts.
Both lists are private to your account. Your coparent sees only messages you send.
Save a Draft
- Tap + on the Drafts page and choose Message Draft, or compose a message from Messages.
- Write your message and tap Save to keep it for later.
- Open the draft to edit it, review it with Coach, or send it.
Saving does not send the message. A draft is removed after a successful send. If you are offline, drafts save on your device and sync when you reconnect. Browser-picked photos cannot currently be saved in drafts; send them while connected instead.
Create a Ready Reply
- Tap + on the Drafts page and choose Ready Reply — “Saved messages you can reuse.”
- The first time, read the explanation and tap Continue, or Cancel to return to Drafts.
- Write your reusable message and tap Save.
Ready Replies contain reusable text only. Choose Message Draft — “Messages you want to work on for sending later” — for messages with photos or messages you plan to send once.
Edit or Send a Ready Reply
Tap a Ready Reply to open it in the editor. You can change the text before sending.
- Send Message sends the current message and keeps the saved Ready Reply unchanged.
- Save updates the reusable text without sending it.
- Review with Coach gives feedback, subject to your plan’s coaching access and limits.
A Ready Reply sent unchanged skips Tone Guardian. If you edit its text, your normal message review rules apply. Editing or deleting a saved reply does not change messages you already sent.
Delete a Saved Message
Open the item, tap Delete, and confirm. Closing the editor with unsaved changes lets you keep editing, save, or discard those changes.
