How do I delete my data?

BestInterest has separate controls for private content, shared records, and account deletion. Deleting one item does not recall copies you already exported or shared.

Remove individual private items

• Journal: open an entry, tap Delete Entry, and confirm. Saved note text cannot be edited.
• Coach: use the trash icon on a request to delete that request and reply. Manage saved facts and summaries separately under Settings > Coach Settings; deleting a conversation is not the same as clearing Coach memory.
• Drafts and Ready Replies: open the saved item, choose its delete action, and confirm. Unsent drafts can be saved and synced to your account; they are not part of your coparent’s message record.
• Parenting plan: use Remove under Settings > Parenting Plan to erase your reviewed versions. Copies your coparent already accepted remain in their account.
• Reports: the trash action in Report History deletes the generated report. It does not delete the underlying messages, entries, or other source records.

Private Calendar events, Tasks, Expenses, and Binder items have their own edit or delete controls. Shared items follow the permissions and history rules for that feature. Profile contact details used for sign-in or routing can require verification rather than simple removal.

Understand temporary Coach screenshots

Coach screenshots are uploaded for analysis, and BestInterest attempts to remove the temporary upload after processing. The saved request, analysis, reply, and any Coach memory are separate data. Temporary upload cleanup is not a promise that the screenshot was never stored or that every copy disappears instantly.

Messages exchanged with your coparent

Ordinary sent and received messages cannot be individually edited or deleted. Identified test messages have a separate Delete Test Message action. See message deletion.

Delete your account or make a privacy request

Account deletion removes access immediately and starts deletion or anonymization of your profile and personal app data. Your coparent can retain their copies of shared records, reports can remain until expiration, and limited records or backups can remain under our retention rules.

For a privacy request, including one about support correspondence, use the contact options in our Privacy Policy or contact support. We cannot delete another person’s account or recall files saved outside BestInterest. Cancel a renewing subscription separately before deleting your account.
