Reports and Exports Overview

Open More Tools > Reports to choose Messages, Calendar, Calls, Binder, Journal, Tasks, Expenses, or Coparenting History. The options within each screen depend on the records you can access. Update BestInterest if your installed version shows an older list.

PDF report or CSV data export?

  • Court Report creates a formatted PDF for reading and sharing. Verified PDFs require Connect or higher. Connect includes up to 10 reports per month, including reports being prepared; Protect and Protect Plus remove that cap.
  • Data Export creates a CSV spreadsheet on your device and is free on every plan. Binder and Coparenting History offer PDFs rather than CSV.
  • Selected Binder PDF, created from selected items inside Binder, is a separate free export. It is different from the verified Binder report under Reports.

An optional Certificate of Authenticity provides verification details for the stored PDF. It verifies the generated file, rather than proving every statement in a record or guaranteeing that a court will accept it.

Choose the records and privacy scope

Calendar, Tasks, Expenses, and Binder support private records as well as accessible shared records. When both are available, Include Private Items is off by default. When only private records are available, the screen includes those records and the switch is fixed on. A report never grants access to another person’s private records.

Review the scope before sharing: a file containing your private records exposes those records to its recipient. Generating it does not publish the private source items to your coparent.

  • Messages: original sent and received wording. Both PDF and CSV offer an exact-tag filter; PDF also offers Only Flagged Messages. Images can be embedded in PDF, while CSV records attachment counts.
  • Calendar: parenting schedules and events for a range of up to 366 days, with optional accessible private events and shared change history. Scheduled time is not proof of actual parenting time.
  • Calls: Boundary Line call history in Solo Mode or in-app call history in Collaborative Mode. CSV contains call-log rows. Current PDF reports can also include ready transcripts for selected calls; audio and video recordings are not embedded.
  • Binder: a verified PDF of current accessible Binder items, with optional private items and a shared activity log. Activity dates filter the log, not the current item list. Attachments are indexed rather than embedded.
  • Journal: private notes and saved locations. PDF can embed photos when Include Images is on; CSV has no embedded photos.
  • Tasks: available shared and private tasks. Current PDF and CSV date filters use due date, falling back to creation date, and retain tasks without either date. PDF can include a shared activity log.
  • Expenses: shared and private costs and reimbursements. PDF can include receipts and an activity log. Large reports can offer smaller downloadable parts.
  • Coparenting History: a PDF timeline of family actions such as uploads, task changes, expense updates, and membership events. It is not a copy of every underlying record or private activity.

Generate and retrieve a report

PDFs are prepared in the background. Use Report History on the same screen to review status and download completed files. Save a copy you need to keep: generated PDFs expire after 90 days. Deleting a generated report does not delete its source records.

CSV exports normally open the device’s share sheet or download in a browser and do not create a server-stored generated CSV.

For an expense report that offers Generate in smaller parts, all parts together count as one report. Download each completed part; Retry unfinished parts retains completed files. See report troubleshooting for recovery and source-change messages.
